Audio Design

Behind the Scenes of Charcoal Moon

The first time I didn’t get cast in a play when I was back in high school  I looked for any way I could to stay involved. This led me to the wonderful world of audio design. I don’t think there are many tools that are as fun and effective at being able to lead and impact the emotional perspective of an audience. I did sound internships with The Sound Company in London and The Guthrie in Minneapolis  before becoming a teaching assistant in audio design at the University of Minnesota and becoming the resident assistant audio designer at the Guthrie for a full season. I don’t do as much design as I used to, but still love to delve into projects I find particularly interesting.
